I offer two levels of web editing: plain old web editing and web editing light. I do also have experience with web design, and I’ll consider web design and development and content creation projects on a case-by-case basis.
Once you’ve sorted out which level of web editing you need—or if you need help figuring that out—get in touch!
I’ll take a look at your website text with an eye for sentence-level issues, grammatical mistakes, and conformity to your preferred style guide. I can also check your hyperlinks, recommend page slugs, or help format your content to look good on-screen (especially if you are repurposing print material). I can combine reference editing with this service as well.
You may need web editing if:
- You’ve created a web version of an academic project that was originally in another format
- You’re putting together an online portfolio of your work
Web editing light
The web version of a proofread: a final look at your website before you release it to the world. I’ll check that your links are functional, that no punctuation or text has gone missing, that your URLs are spelled correctly, and that no spelling errors or typos were missed in earlier rounds of editing.
You may need web editing light if:
- You’ve put together your website, edited it, and are completing the final steps before releasing it to the public
